Production & Supply Chain
- Production directly at headquarters, resulting in shorter transport routes
 - Preference for regional suppliers

Sustainable Technologies & Products
Our laboratory solutions reduce resource consumption without compromising on quality or efficiency. Here are a few examples:
- Miniaturized analysis processes: less solvent & glassware, smaller sample requirements, lower energy and storage costs
 - Solvent-free extraction technologies: better working environment, fewer toxic substances, lower disposal costs
 - Gas Saver & Sleep Mode: reduced gas and energy consumption during idle time
 - Example PFAS analysis: Sample downscaling by a factor of 250 → drastically reduced solvent, glassware, and cleaning requirements
 - GERSTEL Mixture Maker: 80–90% less raw material use for perfume and standard production

Resource-saving processes
- Digitization instead of paper: Target -10% paper consumption per year
 - Home office & digital meetings reduce travel
 - Comprehensive recycling programs for packaging, electronics, metal, laboratory waste
