On-Line Conditioning Station (OCS) from GERSTEL is a fully automated solution for conditioning and reconditioning TD tubes, AutoTwister rods, Twisters and related sorbent-based sampling devices. In addition, the system can be used for conditioning devices applied in Thinfilm-SPME workflows, extending its versatility for modern sorptive extraction techniques.
Unlike manual or off-line conditioning approaches, OCS integrates directly into TD workflows or operates as a standalone conditioning and preparation station. Conditioning is performed using controlled heating and inert gas flow, ensuring clean, reproducible results without exposing consumables to ambient air.

Functional principle of the OCS
Sampling devices are placed individually into the OCS. The system heats the device to a defined conditioning temperature while applying a constant inert gas flow. After the conditioning step, the system actively cools to standby temperature under controlled conditions.
Throughout the entire process, the device remains protected from air exposure, ensuring consistent conditioning and preventing contamination.
OCS supports AutoTwister probes as well as standard 3.5” TD tubes and can be connected to TDU2 or TD 3.5+ systems – or operated independently off-line.
