Sample introduction is done by static headspace, therefore analysis of odour and volatile headspace compounds are possible. You can run a wide variety of samples routinely without cross-contamination or changes in sensor response. Due to the design of the software, only authorized users have access to method parameters and save the method under a specified name. The simple user interface allows operators to merely enter the sample name and select the method. And automated calibration transfer lets you run applications on different instruments simply by running a few calibration samples.
Positive identification of impurities from "out of spec" samples can be accomplished by expanding the system to include a gas chromatograph. This configuration allows operation in both ChemSensor and GC/MS modes.
An existing Headspace ChemSensor can be upgraded to a GERSTEL Headspace ChemSensor System by addition of a GC. In this way existing GC/MS systems con be upgraded to a GERSTEL Headspace ChemSensor System.
