Headspace ChemSensor

Direct coupling of a static headspace autosampler (GERSTEL MPS 2) to a mass spectrometer (Agilent 5973N). This version is stable and reliable , and is mainly used for quality assurance applications. It provides fast pass/fail answers. Knowledge of mass spectrometry is not necessary. The Headspace ChemSensor can be expanded to a Headspace ChemSensor System by addition of a gas chromatograph (GC).

Headspace ChemSensor System

The Headspace ChemSensor System consists of a headspace autosampler (GERSTEL MPS 2) and a GC/MS system (Agilent 6890/Agilent 5973N). This system is highly flexible and can be used for both GC/MS and ChemSensor applications. This is particularly useful in a R&D environment. This system is ideal for developing quality assurance methods. When "out of spec" samples are encountered the combination of the Sensor with a GC allows fast trouble shooting since the system can be easily switched between ChemSensor and GC/MS modes. Existing GC/MS systems can be upgraded to a GERSTEL Headspace ChemSensor System.
