The GERSTEL MultiPurpose Sampler MPS is an autosampler and sample preparation robot, compatible with all standard GC systems. Using the MAESTRO software, sample preparation steps are performed during the analysis of the preceding sample for best possible system utilization and highest sample throughput. Sample preparation steps are performed in a controlled, highly accurate and reproducible manner for best possible results. The MPS performs all common sample introduction techniques: Liquid, Large Volume Injection (LVI), Headspace and SPME. Automate your sample prep:
- Derivatization
- Standard addition
- Dilution and extraktion
- Cooled or heated conditioning and mixing
In combination with other GERSTEL modules, the MultiPurpose Sampler MPS gives access to a wide range of additional automated solutions, e.g., Dynamic Headspace, Solid Phase Extraction or automated thermal desorption of the GERSTEL Twister.

Dynamic Headspace DHS Using the GERSTEL DHS solution your headspace analysis will become much more sensitive – even compared with headspace SPME.
Automated Solid Phase Extraction SPE GERSTEL automated Solid Phase Extraction SPE with standard 1, 3 or 6 mL SPE cartridges. Transfer of manual methods is performed simply by mouse-click.
Efficient trace analysis using the Twister Twister – the patented device for Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction (SBSE); The GERSTEL Twister enables ultra trace determination of organic compounds in aqueous or gaseous matrices. Thermal desorption of the Twister is performed using TDU or TDS – optionally fully automated.
Cooled Injection System CIS The Cooled Injection System - internationally the most widely used PTV-type universal inlet, with patented septumless sampling head. In combination with Automated Liner EXchange ALEX, the MPS automates the CIS liner change, making routine analysis of samples with high levels of involatile compounds and matrix residue fast and reliable.
Preparative Fraction Collector PFC The Preparative Fraction Collector PFC isolates up to six fractions from one GC-Run. Ultrapure substances can be isolated as well as compound classes or groups of compounds.
